Anxiety Wellbeing

What makes you feel comfortable?

Comfort should absolutely not be underrated.

The ability to calm ourselves down when the anxiety or panic takes over is key to giving your confidence back. To making you feel better.

Often we are scared to leave home and venture out of our comfort zone. That space that we feel safe, as it is close to family, quiet, safe, and many other reasons.

Take some time to feel exactly what it is in that safe place that makes you feel safe. What in that environment makes you feel comfortable. Do you enjoy the silence? The fact that you know that you can be alone there, without judgement? Take some time to feel, not think, what it is, without any judgement to yourself. This is extremely important, as that space is safe to you for a reason, and it is important to understand what it is that makes you feel so safe there.

Once you realise what it is, accept it and thank these things for keeping you safe. It has been important to you.

Knowing what makes you feel comfortable is important, as it will help you to know what you need to feel the same safety in other environments.

If you find a particular smell soothing, start by putting some on your pillow as you sleep, or on a cushion close to you. Then as you start to get used to it soothing you, start to put some on your pulse points on your wrists, so that you can smell it when you are out of your safe space. Use it in your car, and diffuser.

Some days will be different than others, and it is good to mix up the things that soothe you. Have variety, have fun with it. The most important thing is that you have something consistent that makes you feel calm.

I personally love Anjou Essential Oils Set (12Pcs Oils, 100 Percent Pure Lavender, Sweet Orange, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, Lemongrass, Peppermint, Bergamot, Frankincense, Lemon, Rosemary, Cinnamon, and Ylang-Ylang) I have slept with either the tea tree or peppermint on my pillow for years now and it cured my insomnia, but more about that later!

Feel comfortable! In all situations, take care of you!
